Our Finance Department at Liebherr Canada Ltd. is growing! We are currently seeking a Financial Analyst who will play a critical role in the financial reporting and analysis functions. A large scope of this role will focus on month end reporting along with full cycle accounting while maintaining a high attention to detail and efficiency. This individual will report to the Senior Financial Analyst and will collaborate within the core Finance team along with other operational departments across Canada.
- Adhere to the monthly financial close responsibilities, completing manual journal entries and account reconciliations to maintain financial data integrity.
- Support budgeting & forecasting preparation and review.
- Maintain accounting policies in line with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and prepare the annual audit file.
- Support fixed asset and inventory count procedures at all branch locations across Canada.
- Support annual fixed asset budget and investment execution.
- Support monthly financial reporting analysis utilizing business intelligence (BI) dashboards and the enterprise resource planning system (ERP).
- Prepare monthly tax compliance reviews and filings.
- Any other ad hoc duties as required.
- At least 3-5 years in a similar position with month end reporting & full cycle accounting experience.
- Experience specific to taxes will be considered an asset.
- A university degree with a major Finance or Accounting is required.
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is preferred.
- Demonstrate exceptional English communication skills (verbal and written).
- Hands-on proactive and assertive, result driven mindset.
- Highly computer literate, with experience using Microsoft Office applications and Power Business Intelligence (Baan experience will be considered an asset).
- Have the ability to prioritize tasks and have strong attention to details.
- Ability to work openly and collaborate in a team environment within the Liebherr family of companies.
