Reporting to the Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, the Senior Financial Analyst has overall responsibility to co-ordinate, prepare and present relevant reporting and analysis to various business units. The Senior Financial Analyst shall work with business units, and the Financial Planning & Analysis department to make an impact using an analytical driven approach.
Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of analytical methods to perform & deliver customer pricing and customer program profitability.
- Take ownership of divisional and segment results by proactively performing root cause analysis, identifying outliers in data trends and communicate potential issues to senior management.
- Prepare & deliver accurate & timely divisional, operational, and financial reporting as required in support of our business partners.
- Present and provide commentary on divisional and segments results with a focus towards key findings and recommendations.
- Maintain a schedule of recurring deliverables and ensure delivery on a timely basis.
- Work with and support the Director of FP&A with adhoc time sensitive projects.
Qualifications
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting a must. CPA/MBA preferred.
- 7+ years’ hands on work experience in FP&A.
- Proven strong Microsoft Excel skills. Including but not limited to complex formula creation to manipulate large amounts of data from SAP.
- ERP experience is a must, hands on SAP a strong asset.
- Power BI exposure an asset but not required.
- Distribution and/or Manufacturing industry experience an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with solid communication skills; ability to work effectively with people across the organization at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to solve problems both independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to multiple tasks within strict deadlines.
- Incumbent is expected to present a professional view of the FP&A department, demonstrating integrity, encouraging confidence, and positivity.
