Century Mill Lumber is looking for an experienced part-time Bookkeeper/Accountant to work in our Stouffville office. This is a permanent postion. The ideal candidate must have a background in full-cycle accounting and the ability to coordinate and liaise with our general manager and sales team through effective communication and ensure records and files are kept up to date and filed accordingly.

Responsibilities
- Posting journal entries and maintain G/L
- Ensure all government remittances are submitted in a timely manner (HST, WSIB, Payroll and EHT)
- Maintain inventory database
- Enter supplier invoices and enter inventory
- Monthly operational financial statement preparation and reporting, quarterly and annual reports to management and regulatory bodies
- Prepare monthly financial reports and reconciliation
- Variance analysis, budgeting, trend analysis, forecasting and other ad-hoc reporting
- Review daily sales receipts and merchant services reports
- Prepare working papers for year end files
- Collection of A/R and A/P and related duties
- Experience
- Minimum 3-5 years bookkeeping/accounting experience
- Ability to maintain efficient filing system for financial documents
- Experience with Quickbooks and MS Office Suite
- Experience in all areas of cycle accounting trial balance sheets, reconciliation, and financial returns.
