Manager Position:
As a manager with Lott & Company, a manager must demonstrate a proven track record of delivering excellent client service by anticipating client needs. In addition, the expectations of a manager include:
· effective supervision of staff members throughout client engagements to ensure the quality and customer service the firm is known for.
· well-developed interpersonal skills in order to successfully manage relationships between partners, staff members and clients.
· the ability to anticipate client needs and provide the quality service that our firm is known for.
· the ability to mentor and motivate staff, while also upholding the values and reputation of Lott & Company.
Requirements:
· CPA designation required
· Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Canadian CPA firm including 1-2 years of supervisory experience
· Be able to effectively manage deadlines
· Must have experience in updating and/or developing staff training materials
· Proficiency in Caseware and Taxprep
· Strong technical knowledge in ASPE
· Experience in the review and management of compilation engagements
· Experience in the review of T1, T2, T3, T4 and T5 returns
· Experience in providing practical owner compensation and financial planning
· Experience in providing estate and post-mortem tax planning
· Experience with corporate reorganizations and the related valuation work
· The ability to manage and anticipate client needs, including budgeting, staff assignments and scheduling
Responsibilities:
· Willingness to coach and mentor junior staff
· Organization and management of client files and deadlines
· Supervise and review working paper files, personal tax returns, trust returns, and special projects assigned to staff accountants
· Provide staff training, mentoring appraisals
· Promotion of Firm and business development
· Administrative and practice management functions to support the firm which include, but are not limited to, monthly review of work-in-progress, client billings, assistance with collection of accounts receivables and process improvements
· Provide prompt, courteous and proactive service to our clients that meets the firm’s professional standard and reputation

Pay: $85,000.00-$120,000.00 per year
