Position Overview:
Renewal Development is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Financial Controller to join our small and quickly growing team. The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
● Manage and oversee the daily operations of accounting.
● Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions.
● Lead budget management efforts, including overseeing global and divisional budgets, cash flow projections, and financial forecasting.
● Manage contracts and insurance agreements to ensure compliance and risk mitigation.
● Coordinate year-end and corporate filing processes, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
● Oversee document management systems, including Google Drive, to maintain organized and accessible financial records.
● Implement and maintain inventory management systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Financial Management + Administration:
● Lead financial management efforts, overseeing all aspects of financial operations and administration.
● Serve as the primary controller, responsible for managing financial transactions, reporting, and compliance.
● Develop and maintain budgetary controls, monitoring expenditures and variances to ensure financial stability.
● Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and manage global and divisional budgets.
● Conduct regular financial analyses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
● Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable functions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
● Oversee contract management and insurance agreements, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance.
● Coordinate year-end and corporate filing processes, liaising with external auditors and regulatory bodies.
● Maintain organized and accessible financial records using document management systems such as Google Drive.
● Implement and maintain inventory management systems to optimize efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
● Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
● Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
● Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with Google Sheets; QuickBooks or similar software preferred.
● Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
● Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
● Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
● Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Salary Range: $110,000 - $125,000 per year 40 hrs / week
$50 / mo internet and cell phone allowance
