Civic Legal LLP is a boutique law firm in downtown Vancouver providing solicitor and litigation to local governments and other public and private organizations. We have extensive experience in municipal law, complex land development, infrastructure, procurement, and construction.
We are looking to add a full-cycle bookkeeper to our team. The ideal candidate is willing to learn, has experience with Trust Accounting and rules laid out by the Law Society of British Columbia, and is has advanced knowledge of Quickbooks Online. This role is ideal for someone looking for part-time hours and a flexible schedule, to be determined around the needs of the right candidate.
This position will require the following:
o Reconciling Trust and General accounts;
o Prepare semi-monthly payroll;
o Posting Accounts
o Posting firm receipts;
o Reconcile corporate credit cards;
o Reissuing stale-dated cheques;
o Remit GST and payroll deductions;
o Prepare year end financial reports and T4’s;
o Accounts receivable follow ups;
o Develop and present monthly accounting reports to partners; and
o Other accounting and bookkeeping duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time.
Requirements and Qualifications:
· 5+ years experience bookkeeping
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Organizational and time management skills
· Exceptional attention to detail and pride in a high standard of work
· Ability to communicate effectively in a professional and courteous manner
Considered an asset:
· Experience in a law firm
· Experience with Clio
