Summary
We are looking for a driver payroll administrator for a fast-paced transportation company in Brampton. Knowledge of Fleet Manager is an asset. The payroll administrator will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, performing various clerical and accounting tasks such as data management and keeping driver information that is relevant to payroll purposes up to date. The Payroll Administrator is a member of the accounting team and provides support to other roles within the department as required. Other duties will be assigned as necessary.

Job Duties
· Process weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly payroll for all salaried and hourly Drivers, Owner operators, as well as commission and bonus payments.
· Compile payroll data such as garnishments, vacation time, insurance, accessorial other fleet charges and fuel or other deductions.
· Import fleet data from fleet manager, review for completeness and accuracy.
· Extract timesheets and review work hours for completeness and accuracy as required
· Ensure that payroll is categorized and allocated to the correct cost centers office, dispatch, sales, drivers, owner operators etc.
· For electronic time clocks, review time summary by employee received from department heads for missed times.
· Create required internal management reports from the payroll system.
· Adhere to all procedures and policies.
· Maintain employee profiles, ensuring that they are up to date.
· Ensure all wage changes are made accurately and in time for effected pay periods.
· Follow payroll procedures for terminated employees.
· Administer benefit payments.
· Stay current with payroll regulations, standards, and work methods.
· Verify payslip count with employee count and ensure the timely distribution of the payslips.
· Reconcile payroll totals and ensure all deductions to health benefit plans are made as scheduled.
· Ensure accurate processing of sick pay, benefits, and vacation payouts.
· Adhere to all policies and follow established procedures.
· Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Degree/diploma in payroll or equivalent from two-year College or technical school required.
· College Degree in relevant field preferred.
· Minimum 4 to 5years of working experience required.
· Work experience in accounting preferred.
· Demonstrated knowledge of payroll and payroll tax laws required.
· Computer literacy, including effective working skills of MS Word, Excel and e-mail required.
· Clear written and verbal communications.
· Organize and write procedures in a logical/methodical manner.
· Good time management skills.
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Good data entry skills.
· Work well in a team environment.
· Able to maintain confidential information.
· Demonstrated knowledge of clerical accounting and bookkeeping procedures.

Working Conditions
· Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
· Overtime as required.
· Lifting or moving up to 10lbs may be required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
