Imports Dragon is currently seeking a Controller with a CPA designation. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
** Experience in retail distribution (wholesale players) is very important**
- Perform the full accounting cycle, bank reconciliations, journal entries, payroll entries and month-end;
- Prepare, validate and process international supplier payments;
- Follow up on receivables on an ongoing basis and actively participate in the collection of overdue amounts;
- Perform credit and insurance analysis of potential new clients
- Manage cash flow, CAD/USD, on a daily basis and take the necessary measures (foreign exchange contract)
- Report and follow-up on royalties;
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
- Calculate, monitor and explain the company's financial performance (KPIs, ratios, etc.)
- Analyze GL accounts, explain variances and variations, and present solutions during meetings with the monthly finance committee
- Follow-up, manage and update the inventory
- Participate in the development of the organization's budget;
- Coordinate the external audit process (GST, QST, Taxation, DAS, Auditors, etc.);
- Make payments and follow up on instalments;
- Make grant applications, reports and follow up on necessary payments;
- Manage various administrative files (commercial insurance, Cargo, Accounts Receivable, legal files, contracts, leases, etc.)
- Act in a confidential and diligent manner with all company financial information.
Requirements
- Hold a CPA professional designation;
- 5 years of experience or more;
- Bilingualism essential;
- Good knowledge of computer tools, office suite - excel strong;
- Knowledge of ERP software (an asset);
