Position Description
We currently have an exciting role for an energetic, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as Accounts Receivable Specialist out of our Scarborough, ON location. The work schedule for this position would be as follows: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Position Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Create invoices for completed work orders after checking accuracy of pricing, completion of service
- Verify completeness and accuracy of new customer accounts created - Name, address, email address etc
- Send invoices to customers in a timely fashion
- Timely and regular interaction with customers re: collections, billing issues brought forth by customers viz., ability and aptitude for getting to the root of the problem by investigating the issues highlighted by customers
- Follow company policy in relation to receivables viz., timely collections, emailing overdue letters, suspension of service for delinquent customers, keeping record of billing data for month end checklists
- Prepare AR adjustments forms after getting all approvals for data entry
- Prepare daily bank deposit, processing of credit card payments & PAD payments
- Answer and direct calls as needed
- Ensure credit policy is followed for new customers viz., approved credit application, credit cards for temp customers etc – work with Dispatch to ensure all information is collected
- Other administrative duties as may be given from time to time
Qualifications
- 5 years accounts receivable experience
- Experience with Sage 300/Trux Software would be considered an asset
- Knowledge in all Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point)
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Stong organizational and time management skills
- Exceptional communication skills
- Able to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external clients
- Compelling skills for overdue accounts collection
- Experience in the transportation or waste industry considered an asset
