Job Description:
We are looking to fill our Bookkeeping/Administration position with a skilled professional with experience in full cycle accounting. They will be responsible for managing the company’s financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes related to accounts payable and receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely and accurate payment to vendors.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Prepare and process accounts receivable invoices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Follow up on outstanding invoices and manage collections activities.
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing and payment issues.
Prepare regular reports on accounts payable and receivable status.
Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed.
Manage payroll and bookkeeping
Submit bank deposits via digital apps
Year-end file preparation for the external accountant
File source documents in well-organized filing systems
GST preparation and reconciliation
Conduct monthly reconciliation of bank accounts and credit cards
Oversee employee administration and related correspondence
Submit annual WCB returns
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable and/or receivable.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
