The Director, Tax & Treasury is a key member of the management team of a single family office working closely with the President supporting a dynamic investment portfolio. The role’s primary responsibilities include managing staff in completing accounting and tax reporting for Canadian investment entities as well as working with management of our main operating subsidiary with global operations as Director of Tax & Treasury.
The principal duties and responsibilities include:
1. Oversee and assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and other forms of reports;
2. Manage internal staff and third party tax service providers for compliance and planning opportunities across several countries;
3. Manage banking and insurance relationships and assist in treasury functions across various platforms;
4. Assist investment team in due diligence of investment opportunities as required;
5. Assist portfolio companies as necessary.
The Director, Tax & Treasury will have the opportunity to engage in dynamic and strategic planning across the investment portfolio.
