Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented General Accountant to join our finance team. As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including budgeting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, payroll, and more. The ideal candidate has experience in financial services and possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and records
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process accounts payable transactions and manage vendor relationships
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
- Conduct regular audits to identify discrepancies and resolve issues
- Prepare payroll calculations and ensure timely payment to employees
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support corporate finance initiatives
- Utilize accounting software such as Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar systems
- Maintain documentation of financial transactions and ensure compliance with regulations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience as a General Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in using accounting software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with corporate finance processes is a plus
