SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Our Chartered Professional Accountant firm has a new and challenging role to offer you! Located in Vancouver Westside, we are a well-established resourceful thriving business offering full services to small, medium and high net worth clients throughout British Columbia and Washington State. Our client range includes film and television, hospitality, tech, small business and cross border industries.
We seek a seasoned Senior Accountant to play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial analysis and reporting. This is the opportunity for you to use your deep understanding of accounting principles, your exceptional problem-solving skills, your communication abilities with your desire to strive for development and personal growth.
Your Role:
. Corporate year end preparation and tax filing compliance
. Conduct Compilation and Review Engagement files including audits, tax planning and financial statements
. Supervise, train and encourage junior staff, act as mentor while reviewing their work
. Work closely with Bookkeeping Team
. Build effective relationships while communicating with clients
. Contribute to the development of process and procedure documentation
. Provide accounting insights and recommendations for strategic problems
Qualifications:
. A CPA (CGA, CMA or equivalent) with five to seven years of Accounting experience
. Three + years of relevant Canadian Public Accountant experience
. Advanced software knowledge of Taxprep, CaseWare, CaseView, QuickBooks & Sage 50
. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
. Strong communication and leadership skills
. Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
. Genuinely interested in mentoring the development of junior staff
. Able to build client loyalty through communications and positive work ethic
