Job Title: Finance Technician

Position reporting requirements: Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly
Shift: M-F; 830 – 4:30
General Description
The Finance Technician will provide administrative and clerical support to Finance Comptroller. The Finance Technician will work with the collaborate with Executive Assistant to coordinate office meetings, documentation, spaces, equipment and assist with standard operational procedures. They will also share reception duties with the various Health Services Administrative Assistants and receptionist.

· Cheque Requisitions
· Travel
· Asset Management
· Filing
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Office Administration Diploma, Payroll Compliance Certificate or a High School Diploma, some verifiable Post Secondary experience in Business (Intro to Management, HR, Accounting, etc.)
o Will accept a combination of Gr. 12/GED and Office training preferably in Minute Taking or certificates in Business/Finance concentration.
· Minimum two years’ experience in Executive or similar Finance assistant role.
o Experience with Quickbooks/Ceridian Powerpay software an asset.
· Familiarity `with Piikani Nation Personnel Policies and Chief and Council governance structure.
