Job Details/ Specs
Reporting Structure: You'll report directly to the Controller, working closely to support financial operations in a small tight-knit accounting team.
Full-Cycle AP: Handle full-cycle accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in invoice processing and payments.
Month-End Support: Assist with month-end closing activities, including posting entries, accruals, and other bookkeeping tasks.
GL Account Reconciliations: Perform general ledger account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Financial Analysis: Dedicate 20-30% of your time to supporting financial analysis and reporting using Excel.
Adhoc suport with other accounting duties, as assigned.
Requirements
Must Haves:
Accounting Experience: Bring at least 3 years of experience in an accounting role within Canada, with a focus on full-cycle AP, reconciliations, and performing AR duties.
Month-End Closing: Demonstrate 2+ years of experience in month-end closing activities, including posting entries, reconciling accounts, and accruals.
Accounting Education: Hold an accounting diploma or certificate within Canada, demonstrating a strong foundation in accounting principles.
Soft Skills: Possess strong attention to detail, dedication, flexibility and easily adapt, accuracy, and a willingness to go above and beyond to support the team.
Asset
ERP Experience: Previous experience with ERP systems will be an asset.
Financial Analysis: Any experience with financial analysis using Excel will be beneficial with proficient Excel skills.
Experience in a multi-entity & multi-currency environment.
Compensation Details
Base Salary Range: $50,000 - $65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Benefits: Eligible for 100% paid health and dental benefits.
