Our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. In this role, you will oversee a broad range of accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and generating reports. This position requires a high level of precision and the ability to handle complex scenarios, ideally with proficiency in Jonas software and a background in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and statements for all company transactions.
- Prepare financial documents such as invoices, bills, accounts payable and receivable.
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations.
- Manage payroll processing and verify that all transactions comply with financial policies and regulations.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial audits.
- Help in financial forecasting and risk analysis activities.
- Report directly to the Controller and assist with financial reporting to the VP.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in Jonas software is mandatory.
- Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.).
- Understanding of data privacy standards and compliance requirements.
- Solid data entry skills with an ability to identify numerical errors.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
