Canadian Energy Services, the drilling fluids division of CES Energy Solutions, is looking for a motivated, enthusiastic, and organized individual to fill the part-time, temporary position of Accounting Assistant. This position is located in Calgary, Alberta. The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for contributing to an efficient financial accounting organization by managing all aspects of product inventory. The position reports directly to the Team Lead, Accounts Receivable & Inventory.
The candidate will also have a willingness to work in a fast-paced Oil and Gas logistics environment, and work between 20-30 hours per week. This position also has the potential opportunity to move to a full time, permanent role in the future for the right candidate.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Review and submission of invoices through various customer portals.
- Assist with processing and reconciling daily receipts and customer accounts.
- Assist in reporting weekly and monthly collections to management.
- Ad hoc support for the Accounts Receivable team.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications include:
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must have excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work with multiple personalities in a demanding, fast paced environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and an independent thinker mindset.
- Experience with large ERP systems.
- Experience with OpenInvoice, GEP, Ariba, and other portals considered an asset.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Desire to work in a team focused environment.
