Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Downtown Toronto. This is a 6-month contract position with the potential to become permanent based on performance and business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and manage invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of all accounts payable transactions.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and financial reporting.
- Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to address any payment issues.
- Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and accounts payable principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
