Role Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client’s team. Reporting to the Office Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting various office operations and financial processes. This full-time role requires a proactive individual who excels at multitasking and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential, and the role involves interaction with different levels within the firm. The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Key Responsibilities
- Post disbursements via BC Online, LTSA, and DocuSign, and manage follow-ups on unassigned transactions.
- Process cheque and credit card payments, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
- Handle daily bank deposits and accounts receivable write-offs.
- Assist with payroll and journal entry postings.
- Provide overflow support for accounts payable, including document scanning and saving.
- Support the processing of trust cheques and collection of signatures.
- Manage expense reimbursements, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and tax remittances.
- Distribute monthly financial reports and administer safekeeping.
- Assist with audit preparation and maintain organized electronic accounting files.
- Provide occasional support to the billing team and perform other accounting and administrative duties as needed.

Qualifications
- Minimum of one year of general accounting experience.
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a desire to exceed expectations.
- Experience in a professional services firm is advantageous but not required.
