Description
We are seeking a Payroll Clerk to join our team in Scarborough, Ontario. As a Payroll Clerk, you will be tasked with processing payroll, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining accurate records. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our payroll processes.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, bonuses, and overtime payments.
- Stay updated with current payroll laws and regulations, ensuring compliance with all levels of payroll, wage, and hour laws.
- Prepare and submit payroll taxes and other regulatory filings as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, managing employee records and ensuring proper documentation.
- Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism, respecting the privacy of employees.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing guidance on payroll policies and procedures.
- Assist with the resolution of payroll discrepancies and issues, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and on time.
- Prepare payroll reports and summaries for management, assisting with the preparation of financial and operational reports related to payroll.
- Support the finance team with payroll-related data and analysis, helping to provide valuable insight into company finances.
- Use accounting software systems to manage payroll processes, demonstrating proficiency with tools such as Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
Requirements
- Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
- Familiarity with Accounting Functions
- Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
- Experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Knowledge of Payroll processes and systems.
