Construction company near Schomberg is currently seeking a full-time Payroll Administrator to join our exceptional team. This position requires attention to detail and to be able to work under very tight deadlines. This person must demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality.
Responsibilities and Duties
· Collecting payroll data (timesheet, expenses etc)
· Entering, verifying, and processing weekly payroll
· Issuing Record of Employments (ROE’s) to terminated employees
· Reconciling and filing Union remittances
· Reconciling internal accounts
· Administering and remitting of Garnishee’s
· Creating and maintaining employee files
· Creating and working with excel spreadsheets
· Issuing employee letters
· Preparing and issuing T4’s
· Filing
· Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to work under pressure
· Strong organizational skills
· Ability to meet weekly deadlines
· Knowledge of Microsoft word and excel
· Ability to work in a “team” based office
· Experience using Jonas Accounting Software an asset
