Tourmaline Oil Corp. is a senior Canadian crude oil and natural gas exploration and production company. We are focused on long-term growth through an aggressive exploration, development, and acquisition program in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join our team in the Calgary, Alberta Head Office.
PRIMARY FOCUS
The Accounts Payable Analyst will be responsible for the full AP processing cycle, payment runs, outgoing wire transfer process, providing administrative and clerical support in the Accounts Payable team and the Treasury group in a team-based environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will be responsible for, or assist with the following:
- Process invoices in OpenInvoice, review invoices for accuracy and route them through the appropriate workflows.
- Enter invoices and adjusting journal entries into the Microsoft Dynamics 365 accounting system.
- Review employee expense reports in Certify for appropriateness and accuracy.
- Manage weekly and monthly payment proposals.
- Manage shared email accounts, including answering vendor queries and processing manually submitted invoices.
- Account reconciliations
- Handle outgoing wire transfers, in CAD and USD currency; includes tracking and recording of these payments in our accounting system.
- Provide support with ad hoc projects or assignments, as required.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSET
- A minimum of 5 - 10 years’ experience in AP, preferably in oil and gas
- Strong interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills are necessary to engage with suppliers and employees at all levels throughout the organization.
- Able to work independently within a small team environment.
- Able to work with various internal and external stakeholders as required.
- Manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Well organized, able to multitask and resolve issues independently, but also work within a team to complete shared tasks.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with OpenInvoice, Microsoft Dynamics 365 and/or Certify would be considered an asset.
