We deliver end-to-end solutions that result in revolutionary work. The Payroll and Benefits Specialist is responsible for managing all aspects of payroll processing and benefits administration. This includes accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payroll, maintaining employee records, administering group benefits, managing leave programs, and providing support to employees and management regarding payroll and benefits inquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll Processing: Accurately process semi-monthly payroll, including adjustments for new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
Employee Records Management: Maintain and update personnel records in internal systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Payroll & Benefits Support: Act as the main point of contact for payroll, time and attendance, and benefits inquiries from employees and management.
Reporting: Prepare and produce custom payroll and benefits reports as required by management or regulatory agencies.
Group Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health, dental, and wellness benefits, and manage Group RRSPs.
Leaves Management: Oversee and manage various employee leave programs, including vacation, sick leave, and parental leaves.
Training & Onboarding: Conduct benefits information sessions for new hires to ensure they are informed about available benefits and company policies.
Requirements:
Certification in payroll, office administration, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in payroll and benefits administration, ideally in a similar role.
Canadian Payroll Association (CPA) certification is an asset.
High standard of integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism in all dealings.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Experience With HRIS Systems Is Preferred.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Experience with ADP Workforce Now and Workday is a plus.
