The Opportunity:
We are seeking a motivated Accounting Team Lead to join their growing Finance Team. This newly created role reports to the Controller and will oversee daily accounting operations in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. With a rapidly expanding scope and team size, this role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and grow alongside the organization.
You will manage a team of four—both in-office and remote—while handling core accounting functions. You will also lead the month-end close process and contribute to the integration of new acquisitions, bringing added complexity and opportunities for growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of four accounting professionals to achieve excellence and efficiency.
- Oversee key accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank reconciliations, credit processes, employee/vendor expenses, and claims.
- Coordinate and streamline accounting operations across multiple entities (currently three and growing).
- Manage the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
- Work closely with sales and operations teams to maintain up-to-date accounts and resolve issues.
- Build and maintain relationships with customers and carrier partners to support seamless financial operations.
- Drive process improvements and implement strategies to manage the complexities of a high-volume, acquisition-driven business.
About You:
- Experience: 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership role, ideally in a fast-paced or high-volume environment.
