CRH Canada is currently looking to hire a Payroll Analyst for a 12-month contract.

Job Responsibilities:
- Act as first point of contact for employee lifecycle change requests, executing updates in employee master files via UKG for items such as new hires, terminations, layoffs, salary changes and organizational for Canadian employees, unionized and non-unionized.
- Responsible for uploading required supporting documentation in UKG to ensure compliance standards are well maintained ie. Offer letter, Termination letter.
- Responsible for the enrollment and adjustments related to Total Reward plans such as Pension & Benefits & other related Company sponsored, or non-company sponsored plans
- Manage the processing of vacation requests in WFM.
- Processing of ROE's with UKG and submit to Service Canada.
- Responsible for the processing of mass layoffs/recalls, preparation of excel files - status, deductions implications (union dues, pensions, etc.).
- Support the testing of system upgrades, enhancements, changes / CBA updates.
- Salesforce ticket daily updates.
- Enter/Upload timecards as required.
- Proactive review list of outstanding requests and communicate with the respective stakeholders for a fast resolution.
- Collaborate with other shared services teams to ensure cross-departmental responsibilities are met.
- Reconcile all payroll liabilities General Ledger account in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent knowledge of finances including accounting principles and practices.
- Knowledge of Payroll Accounting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or assignment.
- Thorough research and problem-solving skills.
- Expert at meeting deadlines while maintaining compliance and regulatory standards.
- Capable of providing a balanced and common-sense approach to routine and complex issues.
- Excel at working well while under pressure.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Bilingual in English & French is an asset.
