POSITION TITLE: ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable/Collection Clerk to join our team. This role will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, ensuring accurate and timely invoicing, and maintaining customer records. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts receivable, 2 to 3 years billing experience using Axon, and possess excellent math and data entry skills.
Responsibilities:
- Process accounts receivable transactions, including invoicing/billing customers.
- Review and post daily tickets received from Dispatch Office.
- Perform collection process including making collection calls, sending past due e-mails
and related correspondence
- Monitor customer accounts for overdue payments and follow up with customers to
collect outstanding balances
- Reconcile discrepancies between invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate customer records, including contact information and payment history
- Perform data entry tasks to update financial records
- Assist with month-end closing activities including and reconciling accounts
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing issues
- Provide timely answer to customer inquiries
- Assist with other accounting duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficient in using accounting software, previous experience using Axon is an asset
- Excellent math skills with attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Professional phone etiquette when interacting with customers
