Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Accountant to assist with month-end reconciliation, basic bookkeeping, and financial tasks. This role offers the flexibility of remote work and is ideal for individuals with strong organizational and accounting skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform month-end reconciliation of accounts and financial statements.
Maintain organized, up-to-date files and working papers for all reconciliations
Investigate differences in account balances, communicate potential issues to stakeholders, and propose corrective journal entries.
Document root causes of discrepancies and recommend procedural or system improvements to prevent recurrence
Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reconciliation procedures (e.g., using software tools or data imports).
Work with the finance or systems team to test and implement new processes or upgrades.
Ad-hoc analyses.
Back up other accounting team members on bookkeeping tasks during absences.
Maintain integrity of accounting related data in ERP
Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including invoices, receipts, and transactions.
Prepare and process journal entries.
Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions as needed.
Generate financial reports as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping and/or accounting.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
Strong understanding of financial processes and reconciliation.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
