The accountant will provide department support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely, and accurate matter. This role will also be responsible for project accounting duties, which will directly support the overall goals of the Finance Department and CS e-STORAGE.
Responsibilities:
- Verify vendor invoices, ensure information is correct and correctly entered (date, due date, invoice number, description, amount, currency, GL account and department), process vendor payment on a timely base; Assist with DOA approvals if they exceed limits on the pay requisitions.
- Handle all employee expenses through Concur and ensure expenses are appropriate/accurately entered.
- Prepare project invoices based on the contract term, monitor project billings against project budgets and follow up collections while assuming initiative with Project Managers to resolve issues.
- Reconcile monthly project WIP and conduct monthly WIP review meetings with Project Managers.
- Perform monthly project revenue recognition, ensure timely and accurate completion of project closeouts.
- Prepare annual AOP, monthly management report and other ad hoc reporting as required.
- Assist SOX audit, external financial statements preparation, government audit as well as corporate tax filing.
- Support other regions and other ad hoc tasks.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (preferred) or Finance is required or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Accounting
- Experience with big 4 accounting firm is a plus.
- Thorough knowledge of SAP is preferred
- Computer literacy, including advanced Excel skill
- Communication skills as well as presentation skills
- Flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
