Our client, Union Hearing Aid Centre is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Billing Administrator/Bookkeeper to join their team in Toronto. This role is essential for ensuring accurate financial records and supporting our third-party billing needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong administrative and/or accounts receivable background, keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage relationships with third-party agencies.
This is a full-time, permanent position. The office is located in the heart of downtown Toronto and is easily accessed by the TTC.
General Bookkeeping
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, consolidate year end information to be sent to accountant
- Reconcile bank and credit card statements
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- Generate invoices and process payments
- Ensure compliance with local and federal tax laws
- Assist with audits and financial reviews
- Create ad-hoc reports and perform financial analysis as needed
3rd Party Relationship Management
- Support all aspects of third-party billing to government agencies, including invoicing and pending request management
- Handle ministry invoicing and follow up on payments
- Assist Managing Partners in resolving outstanding accounts
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of bookkeeping and accounting experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory requirements
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
- Proven track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
