Key Responsibilities
- Provide financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term planning.
- Advise leadership on financial implications of business decisions.
- Oversee cash flow, investments, and financial risk management.
- Optimize capital structure to support growth initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and corporate governance standards.
- Manage audits (internal and external) and implement recommendations.
- Supervise and develop the finance team, ensuring high performance and efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement within the department.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks to the organization.
- Implement systems for monitoring financial performance and internal controls.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other business development opportunities.
- Ensures Amico complies with statutory reporting requirements including responsibility for the preparation of quarterly financial statements and other disclosures;
- Reporting responsibilities to the executive committee;
- Ensures Amico Senior Executives are up to date on all current and emerging accounting issues and their impact on the financial reporting;
- Responsible for business and financial strategy and planning, including the management and development of policies and procedures, systems and processes;
- Overall responsibility for any external audit processes;
- Ensures that a comprehensive financial due diligence is carried out for any acquisitions;
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA/CFA preferred).
- Minimum of 8-10 years in financial management, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and manage change.
- Exceptional problem-solving, forecasting, and financial analysis capabilities.
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
