The Intermediate Accountant reports to the Accounting Manager and works closely with the finance team to support financial reporting, reconciliations, and the maintenance of the general ledger. This is a 14-month contract position to cover a maternity leave and plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial processes. The position is based at Fer-Pal’s North York office.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
Enrollment in or completion of a professional accounting designation (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is preferred.

Proficiency in accounting software.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
Analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data.
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Effective communication skills to collaborate with teams and report findings.
