Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our financial operations and ensure the accuracy of our accounting practices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing multi location restaurant accounting/ bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in accounting software, and a comprehensive understanding of budgeting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.
Duties
- Manage daily bookkeeping work for group of companies
- Full cycle accounting including accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Review and reconciliation of all general ledger accounts
- Ensure accurate cash management of all bank accounts, analysis of transactions and credit card
- management
- Prepare intercompany transactions
- Execute month-end general ledger close ensuring timelines are met
- Review and file of GST/HST filings
- Support with the year-end audit process and provide related document requests

Requirements
- 3-4 Years progressive accounting experience
- Accounting degree or diploma
- Proficiency in accounting software QuickBooks Online is essential.
- Strong knowledge of account analysis, budgeting practices, payroll processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable management.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- Understanding and knowledge of accounting principals, practices and standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in Dext, SaasTransant, Google workplace is a benefit
