We are hiring Junior Accountant for our client located in Downtown Toronto.

Working Conditions

The job is only from the company’s office. There is no option to work hybrid or remotely.

Schedule: Mon – Fri, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm, Full-Time, Permanent Position.

Company location: Toronto, ON

Salary ranges from $45K to $48K, which is commensurate with education and experience.

About the role

We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Junior Accountant who will focus on assisting the Controller with all financial functions, including AP, AR, and monthly reporting. Together with the finance team, the junior accountant works to ensure all financial transactions are managed and documented for month end.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing daily cash-flow statements
Processing trade cheque requisitions
Sales commission calculations and reconciliation
Routine schedule maintenance
Running AR statements and following up on outstanding payments
Assist with preparation of ad hoc reports for management.
Assist with preparation of the month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
Posting new, used and wholesale car deals.
Other duties as assigned by the Controller.

Requirements:

1+ year of accounting experience with exposure to A/P, A/R and bank reconciliation
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Dealership experience in accounting or finance
Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and principles
excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Well-organized, and able to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong attention to details.
