Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the company's accounts payable processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors, and maintaining financial records. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in various accounting software.

Duties

Process accounts payable transactions, including invoices, expense reports, and payment requests.
Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper documentation is attached.
Maintain vendor relationships and respond to inquiries regarding payments.
Perform data entry tasks to update financial records in accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, or ADP.
Assist with month-end closing activities by reconciling accounts payable transactions.
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth payroll processing using systems like PeopleSoft or UltiPro.
Utilize Kronos for tracking time and attendance related to payroll functions.

Experience

Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role is preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, ADP, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to analyze financial information effectively.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
Knowledge of payroll processes is a plus.
