Your responsibilities

Job Summary

The incumbent will perform a variety of basic and routine accounting functions related to accounts receivable and accounts payable. Responsible for matching all payments or supplier invoices to the customers account in a timely manner, issuing payments and/or investigating any discrepancies and notifying the credit department.

Key Accountabilities:

Data entry: Accurately enter data into databases and systems, and maintain and update existing data
Data verification: Verify the accuracy and completeness of data
File organization: Organize and maintain digital and paper files
Report generation: Assist with generating reports from data
Communication: Communicate with team members to clarify data requirements, and with colleagues or superiors to update them about work
Time management: Prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines
Computer literacy: Work with various computer systems and online databases, and be able to quickly learn new systems
Customer service: Answer questions, address concerns, and provide assistance when needed

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

High School Diploma or equivalent
One year of previously related experience
Strong PC knowledge with emphasis on Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Understanding of general accounting procedures
Understanding of billing and record keeping procedures
Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Requirements:

Associates Degree
Two to three years of previously related experience
