We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Administrator and Bookkeeper to monitor the finances of our growing company. Your job duties include weekly payroll, processing accounts receivables and payables, completing credit card and bank reconciliations, and preparing and submitting tax and payroll remittances. Other office duties required such as ordering office supplies, greeting customers, filing, etc.

Our ideal candidate holds a certificate in Office or Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting and/or Payroll. A Minimum of 3-5 years experience as a professional Bookkeeper is required. Candidates familiar with Sage 50 will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

Perform payroll functions in accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes
Conduct reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts on a monthly basis
Maintain and balance general ledger in accurate, complete, and timely manner
Perform A/R functions including invoicing, deposits, collections, & revenue recognition
Perform A/P functions including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards

Requirements and skills

Education in Office or Business Administration (Accounting/Payroll), or related field
3-5 years relevant experience working in Payroll, accounting and bookkeeping
Experience with OH&S, and motor vehicle registration, considered an asset
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proficient skills in Sage 50 and Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Take initiative and prioritize tasks

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $52,000.00-$62,400.00 per year
