This role presents a unique opportunity for a newly designated CPA eager to advance their career in tax and explore partnership potential within the firm.

Position Overview:

As a Tax Accountant at STBS, you will collaborate with our experienced team of professionals in delivering exceptional tax services. Our diverse clientele ranges from owner-managed businesses to public companies, providing a rich environment for professional growth across various industries.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and review tax returns for a diverse range of clients.

- Collaborate closely with the Tax team to ensure high-quality service delivery.

- Engage in ongoing professional development and participate in the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.

- Support our professional practice teams with meticulous attention to detail.

- Maintain strong communication with clients and colleagues, fostering a positive team dynamic.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

- 1 to 3 years of public accounting experience.

- A CPA designation (or in progress) and a keen interest in tax.

- Experience preparing tax returns and familiarity with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

- Proficiency in accounting software, including CaseWare, Profile, and Microsoft Office.

- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

- A proactive approach to multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

- A passion for supporting small and mid-sized businesses.
