Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM

Compensation: $34 per hour

About Our Client:

Our client, a renowned manufacturing facility located in Woodbridge, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers a chance to join a team committed to excellence and innovation within the manufacturing sector.

Essential Functions:

Maintain an accurate and up-to-date vendor database for seamless operations.
Match invoices with packing slips and purchase orders in preparation for accounts payable data entry.
Ensure invoice prices align with purchase orders and address any discrepancies.
Perform daily bank reconciliations and manage cash requirements.
Process payments through checks, wire transfers, and EFT, ensuring accurate matching with invoices.
Audit expense reports, prepare month-end journal entries, and manage petty cash reconciliation.
Continuous review of accrued materials to prevent duplicate costs in the General Ledger.
File and maintain financial documents and records for easy retrieval and compliance.

Required Education and Experience:

A degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration is highly regarded.
8-10 years of experience in Accounts Payable or Finance, with a strong preference for those familiar with computerized accounting systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and excellent command of English (both oral and written).
Strong organizational, time management, and procedural knowledge.
Experience with AS400 and/or CMS is considered an asset.
