We are residential construction and real estate development company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to work full-time from our office location in Fall River, NS. If you have the qualifications and experience required for this position, then you already know what the job entails.

Responsibilities:

- Full cycle bookkeeping duties

- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records at all times

- Daily journal entries

- Payroll

- Bank reconciliations and financial statement preparation

- Filing monthly HST, source deductions, WCP, etc.

- Corresponding with CRA and our accountants as required

- Assist our accounting firm with year-end financials

- You are not responsible for collecting receivables

Qualifications and Skills Required:

- Minimum of 3 year of small business bookkeeping/accounting experience

- Expert proficiency with Sage 50

- Strong understanding of accounting practices and principles

- Highly detailed and organized

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Effective communication skills both written and verbal

- Bachelor’s degree preferred

- References will be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 – 35 per week
