Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you will play a pivotal role in managing accounting processes critical to our operations. Job Responsibilities:

· Lead the accounting close process, ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies within specified timelines.

· Collaborate with the Director of Finance on intricate accounting procedures, including software development, allocations, stock-based compensation, and inter-company transactions.

· Oversee end-to-end payroll operations, including benefits accounting and tax filings.

· Manage Accounts Payable functions, encompassing expense reporting and accruals.

· Prepare monthly corporate accounting and payroll journal entries, along with reconciliations.

· Conduct insightful financial analysis, identifying variances and implementing corrective actions for both P&L and Balance Sheet.

· Assist in annual audits, including financial statement audits and statutory reporting.

· Utilize technology to develop scalable processes, streamline operations, and enhance the employee experience.

· Develop, implement, and enforce accounting policies and procedures to optimize business operations and mitigate risks.

· Cultivate strong relationships with cross-functional peers.

· Contribute to enhancing the company's technical infrastructure and control environment to support growth.

Qualifications and Requirements:

· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience, including people management.

· Profound knowledge of Canadian GAAP, financial statement preparation, and analysis.

· Proficiency in evaluating, implementing, and enhancing accounting tools and systems.

· Exceptional communication skills with the ability to collaborate across functions and levels.

· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strategic thinking.

· Reliability, systematic approach, and capability to drive timely issue resolution.

· Experience working with external auditors.

· Proactive "roll-up-the-sleeves" attitude.

· CPA certification strongly preferred.

Nice to Haves

· Familiarity with NetSuite and Ceridian.

· Previous payroll oversight or processing experience.

· Involvement in financial audits.
