We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team, working 30 hours a week. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accountant and will work out of our office, located at 21 Nicholas Beaver Rd. Puslinch, ON.

Please note that we are not located on a bus route.

Primary Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Senior Accountant to maintain general A/P functions
Compile, sort, audit, code and distribute documents to validate A/P transactions
Generate accounting entries and adjustments for various general ledger accounts
Update and maintain A/P files and systems
Prepare and mail all non-payroll/non-confidential cheques as required
Verify and post details of A/P transactions and balance account totals
Effectively determine and correct discrepancies as necessary
Reconcile booked sales on a daily basis
Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

3+ years of hands on experience in an Accounts Payable role
Post-Secondary Education related to Accounting and/or Office Administration considered an asset
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Possess a high level of accuracy, attention to detail and speed for data entry
Demonstrate maturity, confidentiality, dependability and initiative
Strong verbal and written communicator with superior interpersonal skills
Experienced in a fast pace environment with an aptitude for time management and multi-tasking
Possess a positive attitude and work well in a team environment
