Milestone Foster Homes is licensed by the Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services. Our team of professional caregivers & staff provides out-of-home treatment foster care and supported living to individuals from newborn through adulthood. Our 110+ homes are located throughout Ontario. Milestone is currently in need of a General Accountant .

Hours: Full-time

Location: Hybrid of in-office and work from home.

Start date: July 2nd 2024

Job Requirements:

· Degree or diploma in accounting

· 5 plus years related experience

The right applicant has:

· Knowledge of accounting principles and practices

· Strong proficiency with MS Office, Excel

· Experience with accounting software

· Experience with third party payroll software

· Great attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent organizational and time management skills and ability to meet multiple deadlines

Responsibilities include :

· Maintaining accounts payable and receivable

· Processing EFT/electronic vendor payments

· Month end and year end close process

· Preparation of government remittances

· Processing semi-monthly payroll
