We are a growing, busy public accounting firm in Milton. The successful candidate will be a great communicator, well organized, be a self-starter and have a minimum of three years experience in the areas of:

Bookkeeping for multiple clients in varied industries

Payroll (including calculating taxable benefits and preparing annual T4 filings)

General office administration and reception

T1 preparation (in addition to being able to prepare Canadian T1 returns, the candidate will need to be able to review and comfortably communicate information to clients regarding their returns)

This position is a very important to the smooth running of the firm. Bookkeeping and payroll experience is essential, as is the ability to communicate well with clients, the public and government agencies. The successful candidate must also be able to bounce between multiple tasks all while maintaining a very high level of work-accuracy and keeping clients on-time with their reporting needs.

Current experience using QuickBooks Online is a requirement for this position. Experience or a working knowledge of other business software like Sage; MS products like Outlook, Excel and Word; computerized tax preparation software (like Profile); and payroll software (like EasyPay) is essential.

There currently is not an option for remote working for this position.

Expected Start Date: Mid to late October 2024

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
