Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Tax Preparer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and filing tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software to effectively manage client accounts.

Duties

Prepare accurate and timely federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
Conduct thorough account analysis to identify discrepancies and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Assist clients with payroll processing and related inquiries.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
Perform account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
Utilize accounting software such as Sage to maintain client records.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing client questions and concerns regarding their tax situations.
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide informed advice to clients.

Experience

Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or in a similar accounting role is preferred.
Familiarity with payroll processes and related software is a plus.
Proficiency in accounting software, particularly Sage.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform detailed account analysis.
Experience in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliation tasks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with clients.

Pay: $17.40-$30.00 per hour

Secondary School (preferred)
