ABOUT THE POSITION

The Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk will perform general accounting duties and support the Finance Department with various accounting and financial functions. The Accounts Payable & Receivable Clerk will work closely with the Finance Department to support the company’s financial goals and objectives.

This position is onsite at our office located at 63 Advance Rd, Etobicoke. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Process accounts payable invoices and ensure accurate and timely payments
Review and analyze invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper coding
Perform data entry of invoices into the accounting system
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies
Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable
Collaborate with the payroll department to ensure accurate recording of payroll expenses
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all account payable transactions
Manage collection efforts and associated functions
Communicate with clients and customer to collect payment
Assist with other accounting support responsibilities as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Post-secondary education in Accounting or relevant work experience for the role
Minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar role
Proficient in using accounting software and systems, such as QuickBooks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Compensation $20- $25 CAD per hour depending on qualifications and experience
