Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and account reconciliations

Duties

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
Payroll processing
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for year end closing
Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies as needed.
Support budgeting efforts by providing necessary financial data and reports.
Utilize accounting software, Sage 50 Premium Accounting
Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, mailing invoices and statements, ordering supplies and managing email inboxes.

Qualifications

Accounting/Bookkeeping experience: 2 years minimum
Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage Accounting
Strong understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes.
Excellent mathematical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
Previous experience in financial services or a related field is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Bilingualism an asset
Knowledge of MS Excel and Word as well as Google Sheets
