We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Supervisor to add to our team in Vaughan, ON. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Finance, you will bring strong organizational and analysis experience to this team and will be an important part of managing vendor relationships. You will partner closely with other departments and service organizations to lead change and improve current processes. This is a hybrid role reporting to our Vaughan head-office twice a week (in office days Tuesday/Wednesday)

Your Contributions to the Organization will be:

Coaching and developing of direct reports and assess monthly performance of COE (Center of Excellence) team, assuring that performance gaps are identified and addressed.
Showcasing proactive thinking of business requirements and providing suggestions.
Supporting the annual budget and forecasting process in the stated areas of responsibility (Days to Pay, Cash Discounts)
Support cash management in conjunction to Accounting Team
Support the Accounts Payable portion of SAP ERP implementation.
Review. Validate and Approve vendor setups and changes.
Building relationships with multiple vendors and suppliers.
Reviewing aging lists and ensuring timely payment of invoices coming due.
Verifying approval details for invoices and/or contracts before final payments are released.
Ensuring effectiveness of internal controls within Accounts Payable. Update and maintain standard operating procedures.
Month-end General Ledger account reconciliations for Vendor Accounts Payable.
Assisting with audits and reviews performed by independent accounting firms.

This Job might be for you if:

BA, BS or equivalent experience in related field.
4-8 years of experience in the role
4 to 5 years of experience in management capacity managing a large and partly virtual team. You can manage multiple resources, provide coaching and development
Knowledge of SAP and / or experience in ERP transitions
You showcase analytical, problem-solving and accounting skills with attention to detail.
You possess clear and concise communication skills with the ability to partner successfully with third party organizations, finance and other departments.
You are driven, customer-focused and result-oriented individual

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Medical Segment, distribution organization and/or large multinational organization
Knowledge of SAP
Experience in ERP and organizational transitions
CPA designated
