Our Yellowknife, NT, office seeks our next Administrative Assistant. Avid Insurance is a fast-paced Insurance Brokerage doing business across Western Canada. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to work alongside our broker group who can hit the ground running and complete various administrative related tasks.

Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Position: Full-time/ permanent, 35-40hrs/week(1 vacancy)

Shift: Day

Language: English

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Responsibilities:

Determine and establish office procedures and routines
Answer telephone and relay telephone calls and messages
Arrange and co-ordinate seminars, conferences, etc.
Coordinate the flow of information within the team
Plan and organize daily operations
Establish and implement policies and procedures
Schedule and confirm appointments
Answer electronic enquiries
Compile data, statistics and other information
Order office supplies and maintain inventory
Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas
Set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
Type and proofread correspondence, forms and other documents Perform data entry
Maintain and manage digital database
Perform data entry and basic bookkeeping tasks

Qualifications:

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years
